Finishing Touches
As the van neared completition, a few ficnishing touches needed to be completed
Upholstery covering.
I considered covering my cushions, however having never used a sewing machine I did wonder if I was capable of doing them. However I read up on how to do this and had a try with some spare Leatherette. I was hopeless, so I used an experienced Upholsterer to stich the cushions to my own design.
How to make the van private at night.
To solve this problem I used Ikea Blackout blinds, they were dismantled, cut to size and then reassembled / fixed to the van.
Side door edging and remaining flooring
I reused the existing door edging, once I had laid the flooring.
Additional spot lights were fitted, the electrics in the seat boxes were completed , strapping points to retain luggage were fitted, towbar and bike rack were installed and some new wheel trims fitted.
